College of the Holy Cross congratulates Andrew P. Gerety on receiving the 2020 Bourgeois French Prize. The Bourgeois French Prize is awarded for the best essay on a subject relating to the culture of the French and their descendants in the United States.

College of the Holy Cross congratulates Xinyi Wang on receiving the 2020 Beethoven Prize. The Beethoven Prize is awarded to a fourth-year student for the best historical or analytical essay on music or an original composition.

College of the Holy Cross congratulates Sibgha Javaid on receiving the 2020 Elias Atamian Family Book Award. The Elias Atamian Family Book Award is given to a student who has excelled in Middle Eastern Studies.

College of the Holy Cross congratulates Maire P. White on receiving the 2020 Karen Gottschang Turner Asian Studies Award. The Karen Gottschang Turner Asian Studies Award is presented to a fourth-year Asian Studies major or concentrator who has submitted the most outstanding piece of scholarly or artistic work as judged by a committee of Asian Studies faculty. The award also recognizes distinctive academic achievement in the Asian Studies curriculum and contribution to the Asian Studies Program.

College of the Holy Cross congratulates Luke P. Wardour on receiving the 2020 Pedro Arrupe Medal for Outstanding Service. The Pedro Arrupe Medal for Outstanding Service is awarded to a graduating senior whose faith in the gospel is made visible through their work for justice, both at Holy Cross and beyond.

College of the Holy Cross congratulates Andrea R. Bucknam on receiving the 2020 American Institute of Chemists Foundation Award. The American Institute of Chemists Foundation Award goes to an outstanding fourth-year chemistry major for a demonstrated record of ability, leadership, and professional promise.

College of the Holy Cross congratulates Leah Zogby on receiving the 2020 Academy of American Poets Prize. The Academy of American Poets Prize is given for the best poem or group of poems submitted to the College's English Department.

College of the Holy Cross congratulates Diana Lee on receiving the 2020 Carter G. Woodson Prize. The Carter G. Woodson Prize is given to a fourth-year student for outstanding scholarly or artistic achievement in African American Studies.

College of the Holy Cross congratulates Guadalupe Hernandez on receiving the 2020 George J. Allen, Ph. D., '65 Psychology Award. The George J. Allen, Ph.D., '65 Psychology Award is given to a fourth-year psychology major who best exemplifies the integration of empirical scientific research and community service.

Twenty students were inducted in College of the Holy Cross chapter of the Sigma Delta Pi Honor Society.

College of the Holy Cross congratulates the first cohort of eight students from the Class of 2022 who participated in the Business, Ethics & Society minor offered through the College's Center for Interdisciplinary Studies and the Carlyse and Arthur A. Ciocca '59 Center for Business, Ethics and Society. Launched in 2018, the Ciocca Center's mission is to foster a distinctively liberal arts approach to the study of business and its role in society. Building from a foundation in economics, accounting, and values, the interdisciplinary minor in Business, Ethics, and Society leads students through coursework in a broad range of social science and humanities disciplines to address central questions about the role of business in today's society. In addition to this coursework, students in the minor complete an internship and a capstone seminar.

College of the Holy Cross congratulates six students who were awarded the Certificate in Finance & Banking by the College's Carlyse and Arthur A. Ciocca '59 Center for Business, Ethics and Society. Launched in 2018, the Ciocca Center's mission is to foster a distinctively liberal arts approach to the study of business and its role in society. Through the Certificate in Finance & Banking, the Ciocca Center provides opportunities for Holy Cross students to explore the institutional framework and career specializations of finance and banking by visiting top banks and investment companies in New York and Boston with alumni professionals as their mentors.

College of the Holy Cross congratulates five students who were awarded the Certificate in Entrepreneurship by the College's Carlyse and Arthur A. Ciocca '59 Center for Business, Ethics and Society. Launched in 2018, the Ciocca Center's mission is to foster a distinctively liberal arts approach to the study of business and its role in society. Through the Certificate in Entrepreneurship, the Ciocca Center provides opportunities for Holy Cross students to gain entrepreneurial skills and learn the fundamentals of starting a venture and keeping a company relevant.

College of the Holy Cross congratulates 57 students who were awarded the Certificate in Business Fundamentals by the College's Carlyse and Arthur A. Ciocca '59 Center for Business, Ethics and Society. Launched in 2018, the Ciocca Center's mission is to foster a distinctively liberal arts approach to the study of business and its role in society. Through the Certificate in Business Fundamentals, the Center provides opportunities for Holy Cross students to attain a solid business foundation by learning technical skills in marketing communications, global supply chain management, presentation and decision-making.

College of the Holy Cross congratulates Delaney Wells on receiving the 2020 Presidential Service Award.The George B. Moran Award is the highest honor given by the College to a graduating senior in recognition of exemplary scholarship and leadership.

College of the Holy Cross congratulates Maia Lee-Chin '21 on being selected as the 2020-2021 Fenwick Scholar. The Fenwick Scholar Award is one of the highest academic honors that the College bestows. The Fenwick Scholar designs, with one or more advisors, a program of independent research or a project that will complete their undergraduate education in the most challenging, creative and meaningful way.

College of the Holy Cross congratulates 11 students who received the 2020 Presidential Service Award. The Presidential Service Award honors graduating seniors who have, to an exceptional degree, used their time, talents and resources in service to the College, their fellow students and the Worcester community.

A total of 707 students received bachelor of arts degrees from College of the Holy Cross during a virtual celebration of the Class of 2020 on May 22. The live video program, during which graduates received electronic diplomas, featured a special message from director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and Holy Cross alumnus Dr. Anthony Fauci '62. The virtual celebrations will be followed by an in-person commencement ceremony for the Class of 2020 to be held in spring 2021.

From The Spire on April 3, 2020: "On Wednesday, April 1, election results revealed that Officer Gracie of the Dept. of Public Safety was voted Student Government Association President. The two-year-old Goldendoodle received over 99% of the vote after a month-long campaign. An outspoken advocate for the St. Pat's darty and the addition of dog treats to the Cool Beans menu, her platform resonated strongly with students of all class years."
