College of the Holy Cross congratulates two students who were awarded the Certificate in Entrepreneurship by the College's Carlyse and Arthur A. Ciocca '59 Center for Business, Ethics and Society. Launched in 2018, the Ciocca Center's mission is to foster a distinctively liberal arts approach to the study of business and its role in society. Through the Certificate in Entrepreneurship, the Ciocca Center empowers students to turn bold ideas into ventures that make an impact. Building on liberal arts foundation, students will learn how to develop, test, and refine creative concepts using proven entrepreneurial methods such as creating minimum viable products, engaging real users, and iterating based on feedback.

Ciocca '59 Center for Business, Ethics and Society. Launched in 2018, the Ciocca Center's mission is to foster a distinctively liberal arts approach to the study of business and its role in society. Through the Certificate in Business Fundamentals, the Ciocca Center provides opportunities for Holy Cross students to gain practical knowledge in marketing communications, global supply chain management, and strategic decision-making.

College of the Holy Cross congratulates 15 students who were awarded the Certificate in Finance & Banking by the College's Carlyse and Arthur A. Ciocca '59 Center for Business, Ethics and Society. Launched in 2018, the Ciocca Center's mission is to foster a distinctively liberal arts approach to the study of business and its role in society. Through the Certificate in Finance & Banking, the Ciocca Center offers students an inside look at the fast-paced world of banking, financial services, and wealth management through immersive learning and mentorship from industry professionals.

College of the Holy Cross congratulates three students awarded with the Certificate in Social Action & Civic Leadership by the College's Donelan Office of Community-Based Learning, Teaching, and Engaged Scholarship. Launched in 2001, the Donelan Office brings together faculty, staff, students, and community partners to address urgent community issues through teaching, learning, and engaged research. Rooted in the College's mission and guided by social justice, mutuality, and reciprocity, it promotes participatory, experiential learning through dialogue, reflection, co-learning, and long-term community partnerships. Through the Certificate in Social Action & Civic Leadership, the Donelan Office empowers students to turn their passion for justice into meaningful action.

College of the Holy Cross congratulates Haley Welsh on receiving the 2023 Vannicelli Washington Semester Program Award (Spring '22). The Vannicelli Washington Semester Program Award is given for the best thesis in the Washington Semester Program.

College of the Holy Cross congratulates Sloane Larsen on receiving the 2023 Shirley Verrett French Prize. The Shirley Verrett French Prize in Memory of the Rev. Lionel P. Honore, S. J. is awarded to the top French major in the graduating class as determined by the French faculty.

College of the Holy Cross congratulates Kathleen McCarthy on receiving the 2023 Vannicelli Washington Semester Program Award (Fall '21). The Vannicelli Washington Semester Program Award is given for the best thesis in the Washington Semester Program.

College of the Holy Cross congratulates Alexandra Biggs on receiving the 2023 Edward F. Wall Jr. Prize. The Edward F. Wall Jr. Prize is awarded annually to a fourth-year student whose research essay in any field of history is judged by the Department of History to be exemplary. The prize is in memory of Edward F. Wall Jr., a former Chair of the Department and Class Dean, who was a member of the faculty for 34 years.

College of the Holy Cross congratulates Peter Oliver on receiving the 2023 Varsity Club Norton Prize. The Varsity Club Norton Prize is given to an outstanding student-athlete.

College of the Holy Cross congratulates 11 students who received the 2023 Presidential Service Award. The Presidential Service Award honors graduating seniors who have, to an exceptional degree, used their time, talents and resources in service to the College, their fellow students and the Worcester community.

College of the Holy Cross congratulates Mo Amin on receiving the 2023 Maurizio Vannicelli Prize in Italian Studies. The Maurizio Vannicelli Prize in Italian Studies is awarded for the best essay on a theme of Italian literature or culture.

College of the Holy Cross congratulates Margaret Hannick on receiving the 2023 George B. Moran Award.The George B. Moran Award is the highest honor given by the College to a graduating senior in recognition of exemplary scholarship and leadership.

College of the Holy Cross congratulates Samantha Marzi on receiving the 2023 Study Abroad Independent Project Prize. The Study Abroad Independent Project Prize is given for initiative, seriousness of purpose, and excellence in a Study Abroad Independent Project.

College of the Holy Cross congratulates Ganiyat Karimu on receiving the 2023 Carter G. Woodson Prize. The Carter G. Woodson Prize is given to a fourth-year student for outstanding scholarly or artistic achievement in African American Studies.

College of the Holy Cross congratulates Riley Flint on receiving the 2023 George Bernard Shaw Award. The George Bernard Shaw Award is given for the best essay in dramatic literature or film.

College of the Holy Cross congratulates Alexandra Adamek on receiving the 2023 Freeman M. Saltus Prize. The Freeman M. Saltus Prize is awarded for excellence in writing essays on labor or economics.

College of the Holy Cross congratulates Benjamin Kelly on receiving the 2023 Strain Gold Medal. The Strain Gold Medal is given for the best essay submitted during the academic year on a subject taken from the field of philosophy.

College of the Holy Cross congratulates Josephine Kalondji on receiving the 2023 Susan Rodgers Anthropology Award. The Susan Rodgers Anthropology Award honors the one anthropology student who has demonstrated superior achievement in the discipline while an undergraduate at Holy Cross.

College of the Holy Cross congratulates Kevin Akalski on receiving the 2023 Markham Memorial Scholarship Award. The Markham Memorial Scholarship Award is given to a student majoring in philosophy who demonstrates the highest aptitude for philosophical inquiry and whose commitment to his or her studies best exemplifies the belief that "critical examination of fundamental religious and philosophical questions is integral to a liberal arts education."

College of the Holy Cross congratulates Obiamaka Igwenagu on receiving the 2023 John Paul Reardon Medal and Award. The John Paul Reardon Medal and Award was established in 1985 by John Paul Reardon, a former faculty member, in memory of the late Rev. J. Gerard Mears, S.J. The medal and award are given annually to a graduating student for excellence in studio art.

College of the Holy Cross congratulates Olivia Curnen on receiving the 2023 John L. Philip Memorial American Sign Language Award. The John L. Philip Memorial American Sign Language Award is given to a graduating student who has demonstrated an interest in, and motivation to learn, American Sign Language (ASL) and to bring that learning to life. This student has integrated his/her classroom knowledge of ASL and Deaf culture with respect for, and interaction with, members of the Deaf Community.

College of the Holy Cross congratulates Claudia Hajjar on receiving the 2023 Heather C. Lochmuller '98 Award. The Heather C. Lochmuller '98 Award was established in 1999 in memory of Class of 1998 alumna Heather Lochmuller. It is awarded to a fourth-year chemistry major for outstanding service to the Chemistry Department.

College of the Holy Cross congratulates Emily Bouzan on receiving the 2023 Leonard Award. The Leonard Award is given for proficiency in oratory, debating or like competition. This award is given to the Valedictorian of the graduating class.

College of the Holy Cross congratulates Quetzali Gomez on receiving the 2023 Oscar Romero Latin American, Latinx, and Caribbean Studies Award. The 2020 Oscar Romero Latin American, Latinx, and Caribbean Studies Award is given to a student who demonstrated academic excellence through the quality and diversity of coursework, outstanding participation in cultural programs, and significant engagement in service to the Latinx community.

College of the Holy Cross congratulates Jinze Mi on receiving the 2023 The Monsignor Kavanagh Medal & Award. The Monsignor Kavanagh Medal & Award is given for the best original essay on some phase of Christian art or archeology.
